Programme Highlights
The theme of the Symposium this year is “Fire Safety Performance of Building Materials” after careful considerations and observations to the needs of the society related to fire safety. Flammability and fire resistance of buildings elements such as materials in façade, structural and non-structural members, building services and architectural elements, active and passive fire systems etc. play a pivotal role in fire safety when a building or structure is subject to elevated temperature. In this symposium, latest knowledge and experience of academicians, practitioners and regulators will be shared and tactics of managing and minimizing risks are to be discussed. Mr. YEUNG Yan Kin, Andy, FSDSM, Director of Fire Services, has kindly consented to be the Guest of Honour for the Symposium to deliver an opening speech.
