 p and Fire Extinguisher Refilling Plant
DESCRIPTION:Programme Highlights\nIn line with the Government Policy to enc
 ourage the construction industry to adopt innovation and technology to enh
 ance productivity\, cost-effectiveness and safety performance\, project ne
 eds to bring together Modular Integrated Construction\, Design for Manufac
 ture and Assembly\, digitalization\, technology\, sustainability and at th
 e same time consider the constructability and viability will become an imp
 ortant part of the project\n\nAmong them\, the local mechanical and electr
 ical engineering industry has introduced prefabricated design (DfMA)\, and
  further promote the “install before insert” approach and strengthen p
 refab technology to achieve the integration of manufacturing and construct
 ion in a number of engineering projects\, which has significantly improved
  engineering efficiency.\n\nFor this Technical visit\, HKIE FD will visit 
 a local workshop which apply application of prefabricated parts including\
 , MEP installation\, firefighting services installation\, hydraulic servic
 es installation and other fields. Covers projects such as prefabricated he
 ating\, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems\, installation of 
 fire sprinkler pipes\, smoke exhaust systems plantroom\, and chilled water
  pump systems\, etc.\n\nRecycling/ refilling fire extinguishers is good fo
 r the environment.\n\nFire extinguishers are classified as hazardous waste
  and need to be disposed of carefully and steel is one of the world’s mo
 st recycled products. A fire extinguisher container\, obviously\, is made 
 from steel. If you recycle/ refliing fire extinguishers\, know that you ex
 haust less energy and raw materials. Creating steel from recycled material
 s uses 75 per cent less energy than when creating it from raw\, virgin mat
 erials.\n\nPoint of Assembly: Kam Sheung Road MTR station Exit A at 8:30am
