 ironment in Hong Kong requires concerted effort from the Authorities\, whi
 ch are the Fire Services Department\, Buildings Department\, Lands Departm
 ent and other licensing departments\, as well as the contributions from va
 rious related professionals and the general public. In this seminar\, the 
 speaker will introduce the efforts and contributions from these parties an
 d how they can work together to make Hong Kong one of the safest cities in
  the world in terms of fire safety. Possible future directions to enhance 
 fire safety will also be discussed.\nSpeaker\nIr. Lam was the Director of 
 Fire Services from January 2003 till December 2005. He is a Companion Fell
 ow of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and a Fellow of the Hong Kon
 g Institution of Engineers (HKIE). The Fire Engineering Discipline in HKIE
  was established in 2005 by Ir. LAM and some other senior members of the I
 nstitution and he was elected as the Chairman of the Fire Discipline Advis
 ory Panel from 2005 till 2009. At present\, he is an advisor of the Fire D
 ivision\, HKIE. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the University of Central
  Lancashire.\nOfficial Language\nEnglish will be the official language.\nC
 PD Certificates\nThis seminar is recommended for 1.5 CPD hours. Attendance
  certificate will be issued.\n\nFree attendance but limited and priority w
