Chairman’s Message

It is my great honor to be elected as Chairman of the Fire Division for the Session 2025/2026. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to our Past Chairpersons for their exemplary leadership and to all Committee Members for their unwavering dedication and support.  Your contributions have been instrumental in shaping the Division’s success. 

The Fire Division is committed to advancing fire engineering through stakeholder collaboration, enhancing professional knowledge through diverse programs, and nurturing young engineers to ensure sustained industry growth. Building on our strong achievements over the past years, we will continue to organize collaborative events, symposiums, technical seminars, CPD courses and study tours.  These activities provide members with up-to-date knowledge and expertise in fire safety.  Through these efforts, we also aim to inspire innovation and strengthen our network as we collectively embrace opportunities arising from the development of the Greater Bay Area and the Northern Metropolis Development in Hong Kong.

This year, amid positive momentum in the implementation of the Registered Fire Engineer Scheme, we believe this new third-party fire safety certification scheme will benefit our members long-term while advancing our profession. To this end, our Division will actively foster collaboration with our community to promote the Scheme and provide pathways for professionals to attain qualifications to join our Discipline as Professional Fire Engineers.
